Can Stem Cells cure Spinal Cord Injuries

Through conventionally demonstrated medicines, it is generally impossible to completely cure spinal cord damage or paralytic aftereffects of injury. In fact, the anti-inflammatory medicines that have been prescribed conventionally can affect other vital organs of the body, due to continuous hormonal modifications. However, the advent of stem cells through the science of regenerative medicine has proven to be very helpful in offering a definite cure for SCI and other orthopedic-related illnesses. The potential ability of these stem cells to be differentiated into neurons has been well studied and confirmed through different scientific literature and the same hypothesis can be applied to treat and restore the functional attributes of damaged spinal cord.
