Can You Look at a Lunar Eclipse?
The complete solar eclipse that took place in the United States in August will not be comparable to what will take drift hunters place in the early hours of January 31. However, you would be excused for believing that the United States is now witnessing a lot of eclipses.
In contrast to that event, which only lasted a few minutes and required viewers to largely wear special safety glasses, the total lunar eclipse that will take place on Wednesday will linger for hours and viewers won’t need to worry about their safety in any way.
It is being promoted as a Super Blue Blood Moon Eclipse at the moment. A supermoon occurs when our moon is on an orbit that brings it closer to Earth than it often does. This causes the moon to seem bigger and brighter than normal, with an increase in size of around 14 percent. It will be challenging to grasp the magnitude of that size disparity due to the moon’s relatively inconsequential presence in the night sky.
