Container Flooring

Container flooring produced by a large-scale bamboo-based panel manufacturer and service provider in China — HQC Bamboo, is made from the bamboo-wood composite board (a kind of shipping container floor material) used in new, reconditioned, old containers, and truck compartments. It is made of the bamboo mat, wood veneer, or PSF (phenolic surface film) as the surface layer, that several layers of bamboo units and wood units are glued together as the core layer. Containers are the most important format for ocean transport. Shipping container flooring, one of the most important parts of containers, plays a significant role in ocean transport. The environment on the sea is hot and humid for containers, but the inside environment of the container is relatively closed and stable.

Wood Surface

The surface of the wood-surface container flooring, as the name suggests, is a wood veneer with PSF (phenolic surface film), the middle is the bamboo curtain and wood veneer, and the bottom is wood veneer without PSF.

Bamboo Mat Surface

The surface of the bamboo mat surface container flooring is a bamboo mat with PSF (phenolic surface film), the middle is the bamboo curtain and wood veneer, and the bottom is a wood veneer with PSF.

During the daytime, the interior temperature can reach 40℃ to 70℃. The humidity increases at night. The high level of temperature and humidity asks for high requirements for temperature and moisture resistance. The container is loaded by forklift and transported frequently, so there are high requirements for the wear resistance and hardness of the floor container. As a main load-bearing component of the container, the flooring must have high strength, rigidity, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance, which is also light in weight, easy to maintain, and economic.
