Endothelial Cells vs Epithelial Cells

Body surfaces are lined with two different types of cells: endothelial cells and epithelial cells. Epithelial cells with particular functions are known as endothelial cells. The fundamental distinction between epithelial and endothelial cells is that while endothelial cells line the inner surfaces of the circulatory system’s components, epithelial cells only line the body’s internal surfaces. Three morphologies distinguish epithelial cells. Squamous, cuboidal, and columnar best describe them. Simple epithelium and stratified epithelium are two different forms of epithelia that can be distinguished based on how many cell layers they have. But squamous epithelium is the only cell type that makes up endothelial cells.
