Handpiece
A dental drill or handpiece is a hand-held, mechanical instrument used to perform a variety of common dental procedures, including removing decay (air-rotor handpiece), polishing fillings (air-motor handpiece), performing cosmetic and root canal treatment (endomotor handpiece) and altering prostheses. Basically, handpieces are divided into straight and contra-angle handpiece depending upon the area of functioning. Handpieces have enhanced the working pattern and reducing the procedure time,thereby increasing functional output of the practice.
