Hanyu Shuiping Kouyu Kaoshi (HSKK)
Hanyu Shuiping Kouyu Kaoshi (HSKK) literally means ‘Chinese Proficiency Spoken Test’. Where HSK is a written test, testing your listening, reading, and writing skills, HSKK predominantly tests your speaking skills.
HSKK (Basic level)
The candidate who passes the HSKK (Basic level) can understand and use oral expressions in Chinese on familiar and routine matters. Being able to communicate at this level basically satisfies basic needs for communication.
HSKK (Intermediate level)
The candidate who passes the HSKK (Intermediate level) can understand and communicate fairly fluently in Chinese with Chinese native speakers.
HSKK (Advanced level)
Test takers who are able to pass the HSK (Advanced Level) can understand and express him/herself fully, fluently and with ease.
HSKK proficiency compared to other systems
Proficiency levels according to the HSKK system can be compared with HSKK, BCT, YCT and with levels according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), the Interagency Language Roundtable scale (ILR) and the Chinese Language Proficiency Scales for Speakers of Other Languages (CLPS).
