Joint Injury
Muscles deteriorate rapidly if left unused.
An important aspect of rehabilitation is the strengthening of weakened muscles. The strengthening process comes from slowly increasing the workload on the muscles throughout the rehabilitation period.
Surging TENS therapy applied to motor nerves can be used to strengthen the muscles in a controlled and targeted manner.
Progressively increasing the intensity and/or application times results in a gradual conditioning of the muscles – similar to a manual exercise regime.
After the rehabilitation period, continued use of surging TENS to further strengthen specific muscle groups will help protect the body under future stress and thus guard against a recurrence of the original injury.
