In everybody’s life, we will eat sweet food. Everybody knows that the sweet is from sugarcane. But can you image how much bagasse will be left? How to deal with them?
It is luck that those left bagasse will not be harm to our environment because they are compostable and biodegradable. If dealing with them as rubbish, it will cost much time and work.
But the human is really clever. Now we have the advanced technology to make these wasted materials to sustainable food packages like plates, trays, clamshell (takeaway boxes), cups & lids bowls, knife, spoon, fork and replace the plastic and styrofoam packaging with these eco-friendly plant fiber products. By using natural fibers, we can reduce the use of petroleum-based raw materials. WHY BAGGASE?
Bagasse is the fiber left after extracting juice from sugarcane. It is recyclable, compostable and biodegradable material. With the advanced technology, the bagasse fiber is pressed into forms in a high-heat, high-pressure process using considerably less energy compared with pulping wood for paper products. At the same time, it does not need additional cultivated land and has no impact on forest area. It protects the forests and environment on the earth, because it does not need to cut down trees or bleach.
