Medicare Supplement Plans
Medicare Supplement Plans, also known as Medigap Plans, are private health insurance policies that provide additional coverage to fill in the gaps left by Original Medicare. Original Medicare, which includes Medicare Part A (hospital insurance) and Medicare Part B (medical insurance), covers many healthcare services but it does not cover all of the costs associated with these services. Medicare Supplement Plans are designed to help beneficiaries pay for some of the out-of-pocket costs that Medicare does not cover, such as deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments.
