New Delhi: Disagreements between the government and opposition parties in Parliament continued on Monday. The Rajya Sabha session was adjourned till 12 noon, about 10 minutes after the commencement of the session due to the commotion of the opposition members on various issues including the Pegasus espionage controversy and the three Farm Laws . . This is the third week of the Monsoon Session of Parliament , but due to the commotion, there was not a single zero call in this session.
At the commencement of the sitting of the Upper House, Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu laid the necessary documents on the table of the House. Soon after the documents were handed over, the opposition members started demanding discussions on their respective issues. Trinamool Congress members moved towards the seat. The chairman asked them to go to their places. “Go to your place,” he said. Why do you do that? It doesn’t look good. ‘
He said that if the members do not cooperate then how will it work. Seeing that there was no arrangement in the House, he adjourned the sitting till 11:10 pm. Earlier in the day, Rio Olympics silver medalist and world champion badminton player PV Sindhu were congratulated on winning a bronze medal in the women’s singles event at the Tokyo Olympics.
