How does a curtain coater work?
The function of a curtain coater is achieved by guiding the object through a curtain of fluid between two conveys. An important part of this roller coater/coating machine is a tank of fluid, and from the tank falls a thin screen. For such coat/coating roller, the speed of the conveyor and the pump will affect the thickness of the coating layer. The amount of the liquid is estimated in advance in curtain coating.
What are the types of calender rolls?
From UV roll to roll coating/printing machine, calender rolls are an important part. Currently, coating machine manufacturers produce mainly three types of calender rolls. The first category is called solid rolls, commonly used on older calender stacks. What is kiss coating?
Kiss coating is a technique, coating the surface of fabric with liquid resin. The design of UV roll coater used for kiss coating is relatively simple. The single coating roll installed in the UV roller coating machine is to make the bottom of the roll being submersed in such a pan with a coating. The resin used in UV roll to roll printer can be of both high and low viscosity, for the coating of carpets or for diapers.
