The game is a solid way to get a condensed version of the Demon Slayer mobile games story.

The Hinokami Chronicles retells the events from the Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc up to the Mugen Train arc. You take control of Tanjiro Kamado, whose world is turned upside down when he discovers his entire family has been murdered by a demon. The sole survivor is his sister, Nezuko, though he soon learns that while Nezuko’s life was spared, she was transformed into a demon.
