What are neuropathic pain and its treatment

Neuropathic pain is caused by damage or injury to the nerves that carry information from the skin, muscles, and other body components to the brain and spinal cord. The pain is typically described as burning, stabbing, or shooting.

The patient may describe the sensation as “pins and needles.” Muscle discomfort is caused by tearing and stretching of the muscles or tendons. It is distinguished by symptoms such as muscle soreness, joint pain, and restricted motion.

Here are some medications for neuropathic pain treatment:

Pregabalin 75 mg tablet is a medication used to treat neuropathic pain (pain caused by nerve damage) and fibromyalgia (severe muscle pain and tenderness). It alleviates pain by lowering the levels of chemical compounds in the brain that transmit pain signals. It also treats anxiety disorders and epilepsy (abnormal electrical activity in the brain).

Pregabalin 150 mg Capsule is used to treat pain caused by diabetic nerve damage or shingles (herpes zoster) infection. It may also treat nerve pain associated with spinal cord injury. This medication is also used to treat pain in fibromyalgia patients.
