Why Choose Leaf Spring Slider Instead Of Shackles?

Some of you must know the fact that the leaf spring slider box eliminates the up and down movement of the spring eye caused by shackles during travel. Consequently, the suspension points displace less during the movement. While sliders depend upon the installed angle, and they reduce the “shackle effect ” to provide more consistent rates than shackles. On the other hand, there is no shackle effect on leaf spring pads when the slider is mounted to point at the front spring eye center. Therefore, this mounting positing is often preferred.
