At Venetian Mask Society, we attempt to create and market some of the typical Venetian trinkets. We put an increasing amount of effort into the handmade creation of ceramic and paper-maché masks out of a great passion for craftsmanship and manual dexterity. The Italian city of Venice has a long-standing custom of using these masks. It has historically been used on numerous occasions, mainly as a means of concealing the wearer's identity and social standing, although they are most frequently associated with the Carnival.
