Since algorithmic trading is based on data analytics, and human programmable logic is based largely on pattern observations, we can conclude that data visualization is also an important component. There is a reason why discretionary traders spend countless hours just watching market charts: they tend to make decisions based on what they see. As an algorithmic trader, you too can look at charts, but spend less time doing so than traditional market dealers. In your case, it helps to think through your trading ideas, which you then implement as bot trading strategy rules.
