Hastelloy C22 Plate is a versatile austenitic nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy with enhanced resistance to pitting, stress corrosion cracking, and crevice corrosion. It has chromium content which provides good oxidizing resistance media while the tungsten and molybdenum content provides good resistance reduction to media. ASME SB575 C22 Hastelloy Coil is beneficial for multi-purpose plants where such “upset” condition usually occurs, they optimum resistance to an environment where oxidizing and reducing conditions in process streams are encountered. Alloy C22 Plate has excellent resistance to oxidizing aqueous media including mixtures containing nitric acid and wet chlorine or oxidizing acids with chlorine ions.
