Mushroom cell walls are made of chitin, a substance indigestible in the human gut. The cell walls can be partially broken down with alcohol. We are using UAE technology. With the combination of water, alcohol and UAE we are able to draw water and alcohol soluble compounds out of the mushrooms.We don’t sell mycelium-based products and only use the mushroom fruiting bodies. What are those, you might ask? Fruiting body is the above ground actual mushroom, and mycelium is the underground root network of the mushroom. We believe you can’t rush great quality, and while mycelium can be cultivated in laboratory conditions and claimed as mushroom, it can lack those good-for-you compounds you are after.
