Sewage Treatment Plant

A sewage treatment plant is a facility where wastewater from homes and businesses is treated before being released into the environment. The treatment process typically includes physical, chemical, and biological processes to remove pollutants and harmful bacteria from the water. The treated water, known as effluent, is then discharged into a nearby water body such as a river or ocean, or used for irrigation or other purposes. Some plants also generate biogas as a by-product of the treatment process, which can be used as a source of energy.
