The second meeting of the Punjab Cabinet will begin today, at 10.30 am

Chandigarh: Amid a major crisis in the Punjab Congress following the resignation of Navjot Singh Sidhu, Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channy today convened an important meeting of the Cabinet. The meeting will begin at 10.30 am. According to sources, a decision may be taken during this meeting to persuade Navjot Sidhu.

In fact, most of the ministers are disappointed with the resignation of Navjot Sidhu. As a result, several ministers stayed at his house late at night to persuade Sidhu. After the resignation of Navjot Sidhu, Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi remained in the Punjab Secretariat till late at night. He met several ministers.

He had also said that he would talk to Sidhu and persuade him. After Sidhu’s resignation, Cabinet Minister Razia Sultana also resigned from the ministry. Besides, newly appointed Punjab Congress treasurer Gulzar Inder Chahal has also resigned.
