Apache Gold is a gemstone with a black hue base and shiny metallic gold hue on its surface. It is a mixture of pyrite or chalcopyrite and magnetite. Its hardness ranges from 6 to 6.5. With a black streak has a metallic luster. It was founded in United Verde and mined in Jerome, Arizona, new mexico. Its colors vary from gold to Black.

The name Apache gold is mentioned to Apache Indians who lived in arizona. And its color, chalcopyrite, comes from the Greek word khalkos which means copper and mineral pyrite. This stone is also known as Healer’s gold.
